This is one of the awful pictures on the news last week that you might have seen of harpooned whales being hauled on to a Japanese whaling ship.
Australian customs service ships are gathering evidence in the Southern Oceans to back up a possible legal challenge to the whalers.
Japan will kill up to 950 minke whales and 50 fin whales for ’scientific research’ before the season ends in April states the WDCS.
